Marcy brings more than twenty years of experience helping students and families navigate the college admissions process. As a school counselor at a high-achieving high school in Westchester County, she has worked closely with students applying to a wide range of colleges — from highly selective universities to smaller, specialized programs — guiding them through complex decisions about where to apply, how to present themselves, and what truly makes a good fit. She has seen the process from every angle: the excitement, the uncertainty, the pressure, and the countless small choices that shape the outcome. More recently, she also experienced the admissions journey as a parent, having supported her own child through the process. That perspective informs her work every day and gives her a clear understanding of what families are really going through.
Marcy earned her B.A. from Binghamton University and her M.A. from Manhattan University. Over the course of her career, she has helped thousands of students think carefully about their goals, evaluate their options, and make decisions that feel right for them. She started her private practice to offer families the kind of focused, individualized attention that can be difficult to provide in a busy school setting: time to talk, to plan, to ask questions, and to move through the process with intention.
Her work is grounded in careful listening and practical guidance. Marcy focuses on helping students understand themselves, from their interests to what they want from their college experience, and then translating that understanding into thoughtful choices and strong applications. She believes college planning should be deliberate and realistic, not driven by pressure or prestige. Marcy brings deep familiarity with the admissions landscape, but just as importantly, she brings patience and perspective. She understands how emotional this process can be, and she works to make it more manageable by providing structure, answering questions, and helping students stay focused on what matters most to them.
Marcy’s goal is simple: to help students find colleges where they will feel challenged, supported, and at home — and to help families move through the admissions process with clarity and confidence.
